Lastly, for the sake of transparency, you should be aware that during the completion of the exam,
student test-taking behavior will be recorded via the webcam video and audio recording;
the student's screen computer screen will be recorded to ensure that there is no other content other than the exam on the screen;
students may only take the exam on one screen with no additional tabs, disabled clipboard, and printing and download capabilities will be blocked.
unusual student behaviors such as eyes diverting away from the screen, speaking with others during the test, leaving the room, etc. are all examples of suspicious behavior that is flagged by the Honorlock service, and are grounds for an investigation of breaching academic integrity (i.e., cheating). An Honorlock representative may enter your exam to remind you that these behaviors are not acceptable.
Students should be aware that any unusual test-taking behavior during the quiz (unusual movements that indicate the student is not attending to their exam/monitor, talking, other persons in the room, efforts to open new tabs and other unusual keyboard/mouse behaviors) will be flagged and submitted to the instructor by the Honorlock service. These flags will be reviewed by the instructor and if determined that the student is cheating or is suspect of otherwise breaching academic integrity, the student will receive a 0 for the quiz, be reported to their department major, and may be subject to failure for the course.
