Financial Aid

Important Information:

Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), (US Citizens or eligible non-citizens).  DYC school code is 002712.

For undergraduates, New York State residents should complete the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application.  DYC TAP code is 0195.

After submission of the FAFSA, you will receive a financial aid award letter from D’Youville, outlining your eligibility for various types of financial aid including scholarships, grants, and loans.

Review and accept your financial aid award letter on portal.dyc.edu.

Federal loan borrowers should complete all necessary documentation to finalize your loans:

  • Entrance Loan Counseling: studentloans.gov
  • Master Promissory Note: studentloans.gov

Create your Student Forms account and submit all necessary documentation: dyc.verifymyfafsa.com.  Please note that the Financial Aid office may withhold aid until all required documentation is submitted.

Determine whether your financial aid will fully cover your bill for the forthcoming semester.  Additional loans are available to finance unmet cost:

  • Parent PLUS loan—federal loan program designed for the parent of an undergraduate/dependent student to borrow: studentloans.gov.
  • Grad PLUS loan—federal loan program designed for graduate/independent students to borrow beyond their unsubsidized loan offered through FAFSA.
  • Private loan—view D’Youville’s preferred private lender list at elmselect.com.  Apply for a private loan directly with the lender.

If paying out-of-pocket, review payment and payment plan options with the Student Accounts office.

Ensure your bill will be covered by financial aid, a payment plan, or a direct payment prior to the start of the semester to avoid late fees, or holds on your account.

Student Accounts

The Student Accounts Office is responsible for the billing and collection of tuition and fees. We are also responsible for collection of Federal Perkins Loans, Nursing Student Loans, and Institutional Loans.

What you contact the Student Accounts for:

  • I need to view my billing information and statements.
  • I need to make a payment.
  • I need to set up a payment plan.

Important Information:

Bills are viewable by logging into the Student Account Center at https://dyc.afford.com/ Links to an external site..  Billing information is available one month before each term begins. Payment is due one week before classes begin for each term.  Real time billing information is available on the Student Account Center 24 hours a day and statements are updated monthly.

Payment can be made by any major credit card or ACH from a US savings or checking account online through the Student Account Center.  Checks in US funds can be mailed to the Student Accounts Office at 320 Porter Avenue Buffalo, NY 14201.

D’Youville College offers a convenient, interest-free monthly payment plan in partnership with Tuition Management Systems (TMS).  You mat budget tuition and fees into 5 or 4 monthly payments for the fall and spring terms and 3 monthly payments for the summer term.  You can sign up for the payment plan by logging into the Student Account Center at https://dyc.afford.com/ Links to an external site.

Registrar

What you contact the Registrar for:

  • The Office of the Registrar provides course registration, grading, student data, transcripts, degree and enrollment verification, class schedules, final exam scheduling and diplomas.
  • Academic advisement is provided to each enrolled graduate student directly by faculty from the student’s academic program. Throughout their years at D’Youville, students meet with their advisers to review progress in completing requirements necessary for a degree, certification, licensure and/or graduate work. Students wishing to obtain the name of an assigned academic counselor should contact the academic department, or the Office of the Registrar Links to an external site..
